New car dealership survey released
People choose their used car dealership on the basis of it supplying exactly the car they want over any other factor.
A new consumer poll from British Car Auctions (BCA) also suggests that getting the best price possible for the vehicle and the dealership's being nearby make up the second and third most important factors the choice.
BCA's study was made in the run-up to the introduction of the new 08 plates next month - which will see many trading in their cars for a new model under part-exchange schemes.
In turn, a glut of 'nearly-new' cars will be purchased at dealerships in March - with customers often taking out a car loan in order to finance their purchase.
Commenting on the findings, BCA's Tim Naylor said: "March will definitely be a great time for a wide range of choice, whether buying from a dealer or at auction.
"So buyers should make the most of the influx of used vehicles as March 1st sees the new registration plates hit the road."
